December's project: Baby Socks
Learn the basics of sock knitting with this sweet and practical baby sock project! In this class, you’ll work through a beginner-friendly sock pattern while learning techniques that can be applied to future knitting projects.
Participants will learn how to work with double-pointed needles (DPNs), pick up stitches, create a heel flap, and use the SSK and K2tog decrease techniques. The project is a great opportunity to build confidence with knitting in the round and learn some of the foundational techniques used in sock construction.
Required knowledge: Participants should be comfortable with the knit, purl, ribbing, and Long Tail Cast On techniques.
