Birding at Willow Creek Trail
Saturday, September 26
7:30am - 10:30am
Join Denver Audubon Society for a morning of birding at Prairie Sky Park and the Ridgegate Trail System in Lone Tree.
We’ll explore the area in search of a variety of resident and migratory birds while enjoying the natural beauty of the open space.
Participants can expect to see year-round species such as hawks, finches, jays, flickers, and spotted towhees, along with seasonal visitors including flycatchers and swallows. Whether you’re an experienced birder or simply enjoy getting outdoors and learning more about local birds, this outing is a great opportunity to sharpen your observation skills and discover the birds of the area.
Meeting Location: Meet at the west end of the parking lot in front of Prairie Sky Park, 9381 Crosstington Way, Lone Tree (next to the Lone Tree Recreation Center).
Please Note: This outing includes a moderate to sometimes steep climb of approximately two-thirds of a mile to access the Ridgegate Trail System. Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear. Bring water, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
