Real-world experiences tend to be more meaningful to kids than textbooks and lectures.
Local mom and outdoors writer Jamie Siebrase will share tips for planning experiential adventures in Colorado and beyond. You'll learn about the Front Range’s best nature centers, farms, outdoor history museums, art walks, open-air theaters, story walks, and more. Siebrase is a longtime Denver journalist, trained naturalist, and author of several guidebooks, including Hiking with Kids Colorado: 52 Great Hikes for Families and Exploring Colorado with Kids: 71 Field Trips + 142 Nature-Inspired Activities, as well as a children's picture book, Tonight! A Bedtime Book. Books will be sold at the event, and may also be borrowed through DCL.
Please note: This program is geared toward adults, but children are welcome to attend. Activities for kids will be provided. When registering, be sure to include all attendees in your family.
