Join Active Minds as we examine the fascinating life of one of the most powerful women in history and the era that would take her name.

Born in 1533, the daughter of Henry VIII and his second (and soon to be executed) wife Anne Boleyn, Elizabeth I was a central figure of the political and religious upheaval that characterized England during her father’s reign. She would take the throne in 1558 at the age of 25 and reign as Queen of England for 44 years, establishing an era of political stability and strength that would position her country to become a global economic and cultural power.
