This class is for adults and teens. Learn foundation stitches and create a simple project. Kits included.
Join us for a fun and beginner-friendly crochet class where you’ll learn the foundation stitches while making a simple and useful project, such as a bookmark or another small item you can finish in one session or take home to complete. For those with a little experience, we’ll also cover enough to create slightly bigger projects like a coaster or cup cozy.
Project details and ready-to-go kits will be available for each attendee, so you’ll have everything you need. Perfect for absolute beginners or anyone wanting to refresh and build on their skills!
This class will be led by Ana Yacaman, a bilingual (English/Spanish) instructor who loves sharing her passion for crochet with others.
This month's project is Beginner Bookmarks: Perfect for true beginners, this introductory crochet class focuses on mastering the foundational chain stitch while creating a simple and functional bookmark. Participants will learn how to build consistent, confident chains—the key to a polished finished piece. Depending on comfort level, bookmarks may be completed with a single row of chain stitches or expanded to two rows incorporating an additional stitch for extra texture.
